Building Skills, Creating Opportunities
The Joinery Hub Glasgow is a Community Interest Company established to provide practical woodworking, joinery and digital manufacturing training within a welcoming and supportive environment.
We believe practical learning has the power to transform lives. Through hands-on woodworking and digital manufacturing projects, participants can develop confidence, practical ability, creativity and transferable workplace skills while producing work they can genuinely be proud of.
By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, we aim to help participants understand today's construction and manufacturing industries while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving and personal development.
About the Founder
The Joinery Hub Glasgow was founded by Andrew Ferguson, an experienced bespoke joiner based in Scotland with many years of experience delivering high-quality residential joinery, bespoke woodworking and complex structural installations.
Before establishing The Joinery Hub Glasgow, Andrew built a highly regarded bespoke joinery business serving Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The company became recognised for quality craftsmanship, reliability and customer service, earning consistently excellent Google reviews and a strong reputation among homeowners and commercial clients.
That same commitment to quality, professionalism and attention to detail now forms the foundation of everything The Joinery Hub Glasgow aims to achieve.
Professional Experience
Andrew has worked across residential, commercial and bespoke joinery projects throughout Glasgow and the surrounding area.
This practical industry experience helps shape the approach taken at The Joinery Hub Glasgow, combining real-world craftsmanship, safe working practices, accurate project planning and modern digital manufacturing technology.
After many years working throughout the construction industry, Andrew recognised the growing need for practical training that combines traditional woodworking with digital manufacturing technologies including CNC machining, CAD design and 3D printing.
The Joinery Hub Glasgow has been created to help bridge that gap, providing an inclusive learning environment where people can build confidence, develop practical skills and discover new opportunities for education, volunteering, employment and personal growth.

Traditional Craft Meets Digital Manufacturing
At The Joinery Hub Glasgow, we combine traditional woodworking techniques with modern manufacturing technologies to provide participants with practical, industry-relevant experience.
Alongside conventional joinery skills, participants may gain experience using Autodesk Fusion, VCarve Pro, CNC machining and 3D printing.
This combination reflects the changing manufacturing sector while preserving the craftsmanship, accuracy and attention to detail that remain at the heart of quality woodworking.
Every project is intended to encourage planning, creativity, problem-solving and teamwork while helping participants build confidence through real, practical achievements.
